Originally designed for basketball use, the adidas Superstar was a low-profile version of the adidas Pro Model. Since its 1969 introduction, the adidas Superstar has become one of the most iconic casual shoes of all time. In an updated version, the adidas Superstar Basic keeps the same rubber shell toe and classic leather upper materials while giving it a rubber outsole with a herringbone pattern for grip, plus a textile lining for comfort.

Pros: stylish
I love Superstars I've had 8 pairs over the past 5 years, these may be the ones I like the best, with the subtle blue in the stripe. My only complaint is that there are not enough new styles I like, may have to double back around.
