I purchased the Kobe IV's a while back because of all the hype surrounding it. Turns out, this hype was true to its word. The Kobe IV gives what any basketball player demands. Comfort and lockdown of the foot and heel. The cushioning in this shoe is so amazing that no shoe in the market today even compares (except for the Zoom Soldier 3). Even then, this shoe offers lockdown of the foot. When I played at my local gym, I felt quicker and cut quicker because my foot didn't slide in the shoe. This was a huge plus for me. Another huge plus is the lightness. This shoe is the lightest basketball shoe in the market as of right now. True, a lot of shoes in the past were light but were horrible in cushioning and/or ankle support. But that is not the case with the Zoom Kobe IV's. You would also think that there is no ankle support in these shoes, considering that they're lowtops. I was a like skeptical getting these shoes because I have rolled my ankles in the past. But wow, these shoes probably have more ankle support than a high top. I have no idea why, but they do. I have nothing more to say, except that this shoe is going to be a shoe icon and a thing to remember from the past. Nike designers are amazing. Go buy these NOW at your local footlocker. (the sales agents are always nice =] )
